While Stephanie Lieber has only served on the Board of the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation (LSCRF) for six years, her history with LSCRF dates back to the organization’s beginning, over 25 years ago, when her mother and close friends took action to honor the memory of their dear friend, Lynn Sage.
2010-2011
After 20 years of involvement in the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation, 2010 was Andrea Gordon’s time to chair the organization. Yet it was not without some concerns about whether she would be able to contribute enough to this venerable 25-year old foundation.
2008-2009
When Linda Weinstein was first approached to serve as Chair of the Executive Board of the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation, she declined. “This position is such a huge undertaking, not only because of the dollars involved, but because of the extent of the outreach that is required. It is not a small commitment,” she said.
2006-2007
Meta (Schwartz) (Mrs. Ronald) Berger, Past Chair of the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation (LSCRF) is of another generation — from the early 50s, a time when women married, had children and didn’t go to work. “If by chance a woman did work, you could be a school teacher, a secretary or a nurse. We didn’t lead boards or go into business,” recalls Mrs. Berger.
Lynn was elegant, intelligent and a role model to everyone. Her life was dedicated to her family and her friends. She was an incredible cook who entertained often. Her family was the center of her universe.
